Officials working to find the remains of a schoolgirl who disappeared nearly six decades ago have received an initial forensic report. Moira Anderson was 11 when she disappeared from her home in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, in February 1957 while running an errand for her grandmother. Prosecutors last year took the unprecedented step of announcing that convicted paedophile Alexander Gartshore, who died in 2006, would have faced prosecution for the schoolgirl's murder if he were still alive.

The Lost Roles of Albert Brooks

Amongst comedians and comedy fans, Albert Brooks is one of the most respected men in the industry and has been for over thirty years. He began his career performing on variety and talk shows, most notably The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, in the late 60s and early 70s before transitioning to movies. He was often referred to as the West Coast Woody Allen, but while Allen makes a film every year, Brooks has shown a reluctance to flood the market with his comedies, only directing seven movies in the 32 years he’s spent as a feature filmmaker.

12 Seasons In, Project Runway Has Gotten Good Again

Over the years, Project Runway has made silly changes: We’re in L.A. now! There’s no more contest for the models! Now it’s all team challenges! Those “twists” added nothing to the show, and as the show has progressed, Runway has really struggled to maintain the right balance of appealing and talented designers who still engage at least a little bit in interpersonal conflicts. The show has introduced more and more audacious, arbitrary product placements, which seems to detract from crafting appropriately difficult challenges that elicit a range of garments from the various contestants.

A Night At The Rock: Former Alcatraz Inmate Journeys Back

For 29 years, Alcatraz — the notorious prison off the coast of San Francisco — housed some of the nation's worst criminals: Al Capone, Machine Gun Kelly, Birdman Robert Stroud. Today, 50 years after it closed, it's a museum. And earlier this year, the National Park Service gave Bill Baker, a former inmate, special permission to stay the night in his old cell. He was 24 when he was transferred to The Rock.
